Schmidt then reported a crash bug when configuring the toolbar, but only in single window mode when using the German localization. I fixed this in version 5.14 by removing the label tool from the German version. Other bugs reported by Schmidt were trickier, and I told him I didn't intend to work on TeXShop during the rest of the summer, but would collect his bug reports in a folder.
During the next week I heard nothing back and happily attended the annual Bach Festival in Eugene, which ended with an amazing performance by Angela Hewitt of the Well-Tempered Clavier. The next day Schmidt sent five patch files fixing every bug on his list and one old bug on my "to do" list. In particular, he put the label tool back in the German localization, after finding the real cause of that bug. Many of the fixes were corrections to localized Interface Files, which I have been reluctant to touch since they seemed fragile in my hands. Version 5.15 of TeXShop is entirely the work of Matthias Schmidt.
